Purpose
We at Mother of Good Counsel acknowledge our call to care for the whole of creation as part
of our obligation to our faith and living out our baptismal call. We recognize that each individual
plays an important role in responding to the cry of the earth, the vulnerable, and the poor
because of our interconnectedness. We call to mind that actions need to take place
immediately and we as a community must do justice, love goodness and walk humbly as
stewards of creation.
Our plan aligns with the Catholic Diocese of Lexington’s Laudato Si’ Action Plan, inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical on care for our common home. We join the global Catholic community in responding to the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor. Please check out the global
